Free Delivery Note Generator
The document that travels with the goods - items and quantities without prices, carrier and vehicle details, and signature blocks that turn a delivery into proof. Also known as a waybill or dispatch note. Free, no sign-up.
Items being delivered
No prices on a delivery note - the driver and the receiver only need to check what and how many.
100% free and private - your delivery note is generated entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you ask us to email it, and even then we keep only your email address, never the document.

A signature today beats a dispute next month
"We never received it" and "three cartons were missing" are the two claims every supplier eventually hears. A delivery note signed at the point of handover settles both: the receiver checked the goods against the list and put their name to it. Without that signature, it's your word against theirs - and the customer holds the money.
The habit: print two copies, get both signed, and keep the one that returns with the driver stapled to the invoice it delivers against.
Delivery Note FAQ
What is a delivery note?
A document that travels with the goods, listing what's being delivered and in what quantities - so the receiver can check the shipment against it and sign for what actually arrived. It's also called a waybill, dispatch note, or goods delivery note.
Why doesn't a delivery note show prices?
Deliberately. The driver, the gateman, and the warehouse staff need to verify items and quantities - not to see what your customer is paying. Prices live on the invoice; the delivery note is the physical checklist. That separation is also why this generator has no price column.
What should a delivery note include?
Your business details, the recipient and the delivery address, a unique note number, the delivery date, a reference to the related invoice or purchase order, each item with quantity and unit, any handling instructions, and signature blocks for who dispatched and who received.
Why is the 'received by' signature so important?
It's your proof of delivery. When a customer claims goods never arrived or arrived short, a signed delivery note ends the argument. Have the receiver sign both copies - one travels back with the driver, one stays with the goods.
How does a delivery note fit with the invoice and PO?
It's the middle document of the three-way match: the purchase order says what was ordered, the delivery note says what arrived, and the invoice says what's being charged. When all three agree, payment is safe. Quote the invoice or PO number in the reference field so the trail connects.
How is this different from a Growpins Ledger account?
This tool creates one-off delivery notes. In a free Growpins Ledger account, waybills are a built-in document type linked to the invoice they deliver against - numbered automatically, tied to the client, and part of the same records as your invoices and receipts.
Delivering against invoices every week?
In a free Growpins Ledger account, waybills are a built-in document type - numbered automatically and linked to the invoice and client they deliver against, alongside your receipts and reports. Built by the team behind Growpins, founded by Dokun Bamigboye.
